BUDGET/SPECIAL MEETING
Nov 17, 2008

Pursuant to proper notice and Sec. 65.90, Wisconsin Statutes, the
Public Hearing on the proposed 2009 Budget was held on Monday,
November 17, 2008, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Residents and taxpayers of
the Town had the opportunity to be heard on the proposed budget. A
budget work session was held on October 16th, 2008, and as a result of
that session, a proposed 2009 itemized budget and budget summary was
presented this evening. The 2009 budget resulted in proposed revenues
of $394,707, a proposed tax levy of $535,601 (same amount as levied
for year 2008) and projected expenditures of $944,020, an increase of
$28,420 over the previous year.

Call to Order:
Following the Public Hearing on the proposed 2009 budget and pursuant
to Sec. 60.12(1)(c), Wisconsin Statutes, the Special Town Meeting to
adopt the 2008 Town tax levy (to be paid in 2009) was called to order
at 7:24 p.m. by Chairman Leo Zipperer. The proposed 2009 budget,
along with an itemized budget worksheet, was provided to attendees.

Electors In Attendance: The following electors (13) were in
attendance: Leo Zipperer, Chuck Tice, John Staveness, Tom Girman, Dan
Woelfel, Linda Wait, Laddie Chapman, Pat Miller, Laurie Kull, Charlie
Jarman, Dick Shappell, Victoria Cerinich and Arlene Woelfel.

Pledge of Allegiance: Chairman Zipperer asked all to rise and join in
reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

Approval of Minutes:
Motion by Charlie Jarman and second by Laddie Chapman to approve the
minutes of the Special Town (Budget) meeting held on November 19,
2007. Motion carried, unanimously.

Resolution No. 01-2008 T (Town) – Adopt Tax Levy for 2008:
Motion by Pat Miller and second by Lawrie Kull to adopt Resolution No.
01-2008 T, “Adopt Tax Levy,” for a projected total expenditure of
$944,020 and the Town general property tax levy to be paid in 2009 at
$535,601. Motion carried, unanimously (13-aye; 0-nay).

Adjourn:
There being no other concerns, motion by Chuck Tice and second by Tom
Girman to adjourn the Special Town Meeting. Motion carried,
unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 7:31 p.m.
