ROAD INSPECTION TOUR
Town of Sevastopol
Saturday, May 14, 2005

Call to Order:

The meeting for the Road Inspection Tour was called to order by
Chairman Zipperer on Saturday, May 14, 2005 at 8:00 a.m. at the
Sevastopol Town Hall.

Supervisors present: Girman, Schley, Staveness, Woelfel and
Zipperer.

Review Inventory Data/Determine Roads to be Included on Tour:
Zipperer briefly explained the rating system for paved and graveled
surfaces. The PASER On/At Rating Spreadsheet prepared in fall 2004 was
reviewed.

Departed Town Hall at 9:00 a.m. for road inspection.

Chairman and Supervisors returned to Town Office at 1:00 p.m. and
identified the following:

Construction:
Cinnamon Court from Reynolds road west to its end. We received a bid
of $11,000; Supervisor Staveness will get a second bid.

Overlay:
Ploor from East Dunn to Haberli (1 ½”)
Mathey from Whitefish Bay to Clark Lake (1 ¼”)
N Country View from Clark Lake to Townline (1 ½”)
E Whitefish Bay from S 42 Easterly ¼ mile (1 ¼”)

Wedge & Overlay;
From Haberli to S Country View to Ploor (1 ½”)
N Country View Whitefish Bay to Clark Lake (1 ¼”)

Wedge & Pave:
E Whitefish Bay from Glidden to Town Park

Pulverize & Pave:
S Brauer from Haberli to County T (2.02 Miles)

Culvert Replacement:
S Brauer Road north of Forest Road
S Country View south of Forest Road
Erdmann Drive west of West Shore Drive

Crack Filling:
S Country View Road S of 57 to Haberli Road
Haberli from Ploor to Bechtel
Westshore Drive from Clark Lake to Townline Road
South Lake Drive from Clark Lake to north end
Pavement Markings:
Peterson Road from W Jorns to Walker Road
E Dunn from s 57 easterly ¼ mile
W Dunn from Cherry Road to County B
Martin on curves from Cherry Road to Bluff Drive
Bluff Drive from curve prior to Martin and to County B

Additional Road Work:
Moeller Drive pave shoulder on inside of curve
Moeller Drive from mailbox on to Bark – pave shoulder
From South Cave Point at stop sign to Town Park
Bark at Bordui’s – pave west shoulder
Bark at corner of Glidden – pave inside curve to Glidden Drive
junction

Recommendations:
Zipperer to submit the above items to the Door County Highway
Commission for quotes. There was also discussion on getting other bids
on road work. Recommendations will be made to Board of Supervisors at
their next regular meeting on Monday, May 16, 2005. Chairman Zipperer
will also contact several companies on crack filling prices.

State and Federal Grant Applications:
There is a STC Rural/Urban Program that possibly has some grant money
for Sevastopol in 2007-2009. Chairman Zipperer will check to see if
the town can make application for these funds.

Motion by Staveness and seconded by Girman to adjourn. Adjourned at
1:05 p.m.
