Welcome to the Town of Sevastopol web site!

The Town of Sevastopol is located in central Door County, Wisconsin, with the City of Sturgeon Bay and Town of Sturgeon Bay on its southern boundary (County T) and the Towns of Jacksonport and Egg Harbor to the north (Town Line Road).  Our eastern boundary is beautiful Lake Michigan and on the west the peaceful Bay of Green Bay.  We have a mixture of family farm operations, rural residential, undeveloped natural areas, and State and County parks.  Our 90+ square miles is home to approximately 2,860 year-around residents--plus a substantial number of seasonals.

If you are wondering about the origin of  "Sevastopol," it is the namesake of a fiesty Southern Russian port on the Black Sea, originally "Sebastopol" who in 1855 withstood and was victorious in a tussel with the British and French.  Through a slip of the pen, "v" was substituted for the "b."

At this site, you will find our Town Board and Committee members, "go to" information, agenda for Board and Committee meetings, approved minutes,  budget info, and other useful information.  Our site has recently been updated, so I am still in the process of adding forms, permits, ordinances and other resources.

Current events for our Town include the development of our Comprehensive Plan (required to be completed by 2010).  Our Committee is working diligently with Omnni Associates (see their Link for updated information), to bring this to fruition.  We will also be celebrating our Sesquicentennial Anniversary (150 years) in 2009 and are gathering suggestions and volunteers--if you are interested.
