VOTER ID BILL.  Voter Photo ID is now the law in Wisconsin.  Starting in 2012, voters will be required to show a photo ID such as a driver license or state-issued ID in order to receive a ballot and vote.  There are also changes to voter registration and absentee voting.  This pamphlet from the GAB (formerly State Elections Board) summarizes the photo ID law and other changes, Wisconsin Election Laws: Photo ID and Other changes pamphlet.pdf.  You can visit the GAB site at http://gab.wi.gov.

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS:  You must be a resident for at least 28 days prior to the election date (this is a change from the former 10-day requirement).  If you have not been a resident for 28 days, you will need to vote in person or by absentee at your previous registration location.

As a result of the 2010 U.S. Census and redistricting, voters can also expect changes to supervisory districts and ward numbers.  This link will provide a map of the current wards, one through five.  Sevastopol Wards.jpg   Maps and street/road names will be available to assist in determining your ward

Polling hours are 7:00 am until 8:00 pm and elections are held at the Sevastopol Town Hall, 4528 State Hwy 57 (Institute), Sturgeon Bay WI 54235, telephone (920) 746-1230.  If you are a new resident, Wisconsin does allow same-day voter registration; please bring appropriate photo identification and verification of your current address.  Residency requirement is 28 days.  Requests for absentee ballots must have the elector's signature.  Absentee voters must also provide photo ID.  Requests can be made in person, by mail, fax or email--call or email the clerk if you have questions.  An Application for Absentee ballot fillable.pdf  can be forwarded to the Town of Sevastopol:by mail: 4528 State Highway 57, Sturgeon Bay  WI  54235
